American
Lawn Lights was closed for the week of October 15th to the 22nd, 2005 to visit
and document numerous light houses in Maine. During the course of the
trip, we visited the following: Whitlock's Mill, Mulholland and East Quoddy Head
(both on Campobello Island, Canada), West Quoddy Head,
Little
River, Prospect Harbor, Bass Harbor Head, Fort Point and Pemaquid
Point.
We also visited the Maine Lighthouse Museum in Rockland and
the American Lighthouse Foundation Museum of Lighthouse History in Wells.
It was a very successful trip and the photographs will be very useful in
replicating these historic light houses. While most of the above light
houses are not currently listed for sale at American Lawn Lights, they can be
available as well as any other lights you may be interested in as a Special
Order. Please don't hesitate to contact us about building your
favorite light house, we'll certainly try to make you happy!
