The Saybrook Breakwater Lighthouse can be viewed distantly from State Route 154. From US Route 1 turn southbound on State Route 154 - Main Street into the Old Saybrook downtown business district. After passing the Old Saybrook Fire House, Main Street curves to the left (eastbound) and turns into School Street. At the end of School Street turn right onto Bridge Street in the Saybrook Point area. Continue southbound on School Street and look for the Lynde Point Lighthouse to the southeast while crossing the cove. Continue southbound on Bridge Street which becomes Maple Street (and is still State Route 154). When you bear right and the Long Island Sound is on your left, find a safe place to stop on a side road (there is a No Parking Zone along the sea wall).
