Our Nightlight Option uses a 7 Watt small size screw base bulb. The lantern room light fixture is converted to accept the small base bulb and we add a glass lens to replicate a Fresnel lens inside the lantern room. The glass lens can also be stained to produce a color filtered light at no additional charge. Colors available are Blue, Green, Red and Yellow. This option is recommended for use in: Your replica will be delivered with a steady burning "C7" 7 Watt light bulb. |

| Flashing Beacon Kit | Price: $85.00 | ||||||

The Flashing Beacon Kit is the most accurate of our lighting options. The lantern room is converted to a low voltage landscape light fixture and we also add a glass lens to replicate a Fresnel lens. Wired into your replica is an Electronic Lighthouse Beacon kit by GRS Micro Liting that provides a "True Rotating Beacon Effect". The light bulb quickly ramps up to a bright light burst and then slowly fades before the cycle starts again. This creates the light characteristic of "Flashing 5 S", approximately one flash every five seconds. Since your household power is stepped down to the low voltage inside the module your replica still plugs into a standard 120 Volt AC electrical outlet. The kit comes with a 4 watt clear wedge base bulb but we can provide either a colored bulb or stain the lens to produce a color filtered light at no additional cost. Your choice of colored 4 watt wedge base bulbs are readily available in home and hardware stores so you can change your replicas lighting color as desired. If you ask for a color stained lens you will also have the option of replacing the 4 watt bulb with a 7 watt bulb. We have found that the 7 watt bulb shines a bit less brightly than the original 4 watt bulb but lasts much longer. If your replica is to be operating for extended periods of time and you don't want to keep changing bulbs, a 7 watt bulb is a good choice. This option is recommended if you want your highly detailed replica of an historic American Lighthouse to light up like one too! |
